Memorial Day
As we gather with family and friends today, let us not forget what we are truly celebrating. Today is the day we remember and honor our U.S. military whom served to keep the freedoms and liberties that we have in our country. May we not take it for granted.
Reflect on how blessed we are as a nation that can speak freely and not get reprimanded for doing so. How we can protect ourselves from those who have ill intent against us. We can receive greater education and chart our own path to whatever career we would like to do.
Some countries do not have these rights that are written in our Constitution. I pray that our citizens whom do not see how special our country is, be brought to the light.
It is time to continue telling the stories of our fallen soldiers, so that they will never be completely gone from us. Where there is struggle, there is always a choice of revival. We have to be willing to set aside our differences and help rebuild our strength as “One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:13 NLT
