The Start of Something New
Have you ever wanted to try something for fun? Maybe it could be a new hobby? Maybe you can turn it into a side hustle to make some extra money on the side.
Nick and I wanted to have that extra financial security due to the past seven years of struggling off and on. We also wanted to eventually go full-time into the business so we had the flexibility to schedule when we worked and travel when we needed to.
After multiple failures of trying to make the business “successful,” we did not know that I was going to be forced into working extra hours to try and keep us afloat. Nick became unemployed for 6.5 months with no back-pay. By God’s grace and mercy he provided through family. Next Generation Saints (NGS) became a necessity to have not just for fun, but as a back-up plan. We could not risk this happening again!
We heard it all: “Starting a business is risky.” “Twenty percent of small businesses fail within the first year and that percentage increases over the years.” “You need a lot of money to start a business.” You can imagine how our soul was crushed with the lack of support. All we knew at that time and place is that anyone is replaceable and we never wanted to work for someone else again.
Today we are grateful to God for our day jobs since there is a lot of uncertainty going on in the world. We are looking forward to what the future and what plans God will have for our business. Thank you for joining us on our journey!
